It’s time to talk about something warm and functional! In today’s article I want to draw your attention to turtlenecks. The showcased styles are ideal for ladies who want to look chic and sophisticated. Believe me, this knitwear is so IN this year. It’s functional, warm and easy to style. It’s no surprise we are having it back. There are known two versions of this pretty top: fitted and chunky knit style. Personally, when I see women wearing turtlenecks, I automatically start to think of 1970’s and 1990’s fashion. This year we see all kinds of combos that can be retro, grungy glam or boho-chic inspired. Anyway, read on to find out how to wear them this cold season.
There are lots of great ways how to make turtleneck look awesome on you, all you need is to find a perfect fit and make it look harmonious with the rest of your outfit. The first style that popped in my mind is an oversized, big collar turtleneck. It can be worn as a sweater dress (if it’s long enough, LOL), or over jeans/trousers/mini skirt or sexy dress. By the way, I am so obsessed with one look: big turtleneck sweater worn atop slip dress embroidered with lace detailing. Pair them with delicate fabrics, like silk, chiffon or light textures. Speaking of footwear, then chunky turtlenecks look great with thigh-high boots and pumps. If you want to achieve a sporty vibe, then you better complete your outfit with cool sneaks or trainers. You can leave your hair tucked in. Next style I am so in love with is a fitted turtleneck sweater. This classic style is so 1970’s inspired. It can be worn with cardigans or blazers. I love to wear mine to the office. All I need is to add tapered trousers, structured blazer and classic heels.
